The minutes of the January meeting were mailed to each member prior to the meeting.

Les Nunn asked the board to refer to the January financial report. The previous balance 1-1-05 $30,024.45 Receipts, $279.92, Debits $3,015.06 and balance as of 1-31-05 $27,289.31.

A motion was made by Wayne Fehd, seconded by Holly McCutchan, and carried,
to approve the treasurer’s report as presented.

Finance Chairman, Holly McCutchan reviewed the claims and asked for a motion to approve the claims.

OLD BUSINESS:
Natural Resource Committee – Dave Ellison & Todd Thomas, Chairpersons
Norma reported she attends the meeting with the commissioners every Tuesday and they are going very well. The dialogues are interesting and productive.

Board members suggested we invite Brad Mills to our board meeting. Holly reported a Mr. Niehaus talked to her tonight about wanting to start a park in German Twp. She told him to call Bonnie at the office.

NEW BUSINESS:
Natural Resource Committee – Dave Ellison & Todd Thomas, Chairpersons
No Business This Month

Holly reviewed petty cash and passed the report for review and signature.

Bonnie asked for an audit committee to audit the 2004 books. The signed report must be mailed to the state by the end of March. Bonnie will call Tom Niksch to get dates he is available to audit the books and work it out with her schedule and Wayne Fehd’s.

District Operations Committee, Wayne Fehd, Chairman
Bonnie reported the SWCD Supervisor/Staff Training would be held on March 1^stfrom 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wayne Fehd, Norma and Darrell will be attending.

Les asked supervisors to elect a Chairman and Vice Chairman now that the Annual Meeting and election is over. After some discussion it was unanimous for David Ellison continues as Chairman. Wayne said he would rather not continue as Vice-Chairman, but suggested he would like to see Les Nunn take the position. Les said that he would be happy to serve as Vice-Chairman of the district.

The March meeting was set for March 23, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Vanderburgh County SWCD conference room.

Lauren Preske said she would like for the board and staff to canoe Pigeon Creek and/or Hovey Lake. After some discussion it was decided Lauren would set something up for the second week in September.
